Either conduction or deep penetration welding can be carried out with the laser beam. The latter technique permits very fine and deep welds, leading to only a minimal influence of temperature on the material, high welding speeds and excellent welding quality. Reworking is virtually, if not completely, eliminated.

Any material can be laser-welded as an alternative to conventional welding methods.
